PetPoisonCalc provides general, educational information about substances that can be harmful to pets. Nothing on this site is veterinary advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan, and nothing on this site should be used in place of advice from a licensed veterinarian.
Using this site does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship, or any other professional relationship, between you and PetPoisonCalc or anyone involved with it.

Emergencies are your responsibility
If you think your pet ate something toxic, contact your veterinarian, an emergency veterinary hospital, or an animal poison control center right away, whatever a calculator shows. Do not delay or skip professional care because of anything you read or calculate on this site. You are responsible for the decisions you make about your pet's care.
Estimates can be wrong or incomplete
Calculator results are estimates based on published veterinary sources and the information you enter. They may be wrong, out of date, or incomplete. Individual animals react differently because of age, breed, size, health conditions, medicines, and the exact product involved. Product labels and ingredient amounts vary and change.
A lower urgency result does not mean your pet is safe. Some poisonings cause no signs for hours or days.
Using the site
You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not misuse the site, for example by trying to disrupt it, scraping it in a way that harms its operation, or copying and republishing its content as your own.
Site text, calculators, design and the mascot illustration are owned by PetPoisonCalc or used with permission. Photos are used under the Unsplash License and belong to their photographers, who are credited on the pages where the photos appear.
Third-party links, ads and affiliate links
The site links to outside websites, such as poison control centers, veterinary references and partner services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices.
Some pages show ads from third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense. The site may also include affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy something after clicking. See our Affiliate Disclosure. Ads and affiliate relationships never change calculator results or safety guidance.
No warranties
The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, PetPoisonCalc and anyone involved in creating or running the site will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss or harm to you or your pet, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the site or any information on it, even if we were told such damage was possible.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US $100). Some places do not allow certain limits on liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless PetPoisonCalc and anyone involved in running the site from any claims, losses, damages and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.
